Weight Control Programme – 1st Key element

This is not my programme but your own, all I do is support you. I don’t believe in ‘one size fits all’ and the programme needs to be designed to suit you, your lifestyle and goals. The programme will have four key elements which will be explained and provide you with the tools, guidance and support needed for you and your programme to be successful.

Over the next four days I will briefly explain the 4 key elements to the programme and ask that you take time to reflect on these and at the end of the four days consider if it is time for you to take control of your weight. I am not giving the details of the four key elements at once as I find that at this time of year we are all to hasty in making decisions and rush into things without really considering them. New Years resolutions are made and by now 4th January, fours days later most have fallen by the wayside, so take these next four days to consider if the is programme is right for you.

Nourishment noun –the food or other substances necessary for growth, health and good condition.  Well that’s what the dictionary states as the meaning of the word, for me it is something completely different.  I love this word, for me it invokes an array of emotions, senses and feelings.  Nourishment to me conjures up the images of coming home from a lovely walk on a cold but sunny winters day to the smell of a freshly cooked, nutrient packed bowl of hot soup with a nice crusty roll on the side.  Then when you have finished the soup you get the feeling of a huge welcoming hug.  Now that’s how I look at that word and for others it could be completely different.  I don’t like to use the word diet, as it fills me with feelings of going without, hunger and failure.  The dictionary states the word as – noun –the kinds of food that a person, animal or community habitually eats, or a special course of food to which one restricts oneself, either to lose weight or for medical reasons. The word restricts says it all for me.

For your programme we will discuss and agree how you want to see yourself being nourished.  There will be no prescriptive meal plans, they will be designed with and for you, with no sins, points or calories to count.  You will be given the tools and guidance to make your own choices knowing you will be providing your body with the right nourishment helping it to function, such as breathing, thinking, moving and fighting infection, as well as supporting growth and repair.
